Get ready for more delicious food items at Wrigley Field.
The Chicago Cubs introduced a new “Chef Series” spotlighting some of the best chefs from the Chicago area to bring new dishes to Wrigley Field.
An official announcement came on Wednesday afternoon via a press release. The chefs in the lineup and dates the dishes will be available:
- Stephanie Izard (June 2-11)
- Matthias Merges (June 19-21, July 4-6, July 7-9)
- Jeff Mauro (July 21-25)
- Rick Bayless (August 1-6)
- Graham Elliot (Augst 14-20, August 28-Sept 3)
Each chef will provide a different dish based on the restaurants they represent. The new “Chef Experience” is brought to you by Makers Mark.
Here’s what David Burns, executive chef for Levy at Wrigley Field, had to say via a release:
“We’ve emphasized cultivating Wrigley Field’s food culture this season, and want fans to leave a game feeling like they’ve truly experienced a taste of Chicago. The Chef Series brings diverse perspectives on ballpark fare from some of the city’s favorite chefs.”
Senior vice president, strategy and ballpark operations for the Chicago Cubs Alex Sugarman added:
“When you think of Chicago’s best chefs, the award-winning names participating in our Chef Series rise to the top,” said Alex Sugarman. “Since the inception of our restoration project, our food and beverage offerings have improved dramatically, and we’re honored these elite chefs will advance those efforts with their unique culinary approaches. We are excited to partner with them as we focus on continuously improving the fan experience at Wrigley Field.”
The dishes will be available at the Sheffield Corner located in Wrigley Field. Just two years ago, the Cubs announced a partnership with Hot Dougs to bring new hot dog and sausage menu items available in the bleachers.
