Chicago Cubs fans might get the chance to see one of the teams pitching prospects sooner than later. Pitcher Kyle Hendricks was pulled from today’s Iowa Cubs game early according to World Series Dreaming.
It looks like Hendricks is on his way to Cincinnati to join the Cubs for their upcoming five-game series. With the loss of Jason Hammel and Jeff Samardzija the Cubs planned on bringing up a pitcher or two. Hendricks could be slated to start on Wednesday.
The Cubs acquired Hendricks in a deal that sent starting pitcher Ryan Dempster to the Texas Rangers in 2012.
