The Chicago Cubs have lost their Triple-A bench coach Eric Patterson as he elected to take the same position but with the Indianapolis Indians. Patterson, a former eighth round draft pick and Cubs player in the latter half of the 2000s, will now be continuing his post playing career in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.
