This upcoming season for the Chicago Cubs is slowly becoming one of the more exciting seasons for the Cubs in recent memory.
With so many acquisitions to improve their roster, it’s hard to pin down which move puts the Cubs over the top.
With the season fast approaching and with all the excitement building the Cubs unveiled a new attraction at the ballpark that fans should love!
The Chicago Cubs introduce “The Yard”
The excitement for this season won’t just be taking place on the field it will also be off the field with the Cubs introducing a new feature in the ballpark called “The Yard”. Located up in the bleachers by the scoreboard The Yard will offer fans an intimate experience to watch games, hang out with friends and family, and be more immersed in the game.
“The Chicago Cubs have unveiled ‘The Yard’—new seats in center field featuring:
• High-top seats
• Groups of 4-50 fans
• Ballpark meal included
• Unlimited beer, wine, seltzers, and non-alcoholic drinks”

Per the Cubs Senior Vice President of Ticketing Cale Vennum, he said that he was always hearing how fans referred to Wrigley as their “home” so he and the Cubs made it their goal to bring fans that experience.
“Fans often tell us that Wrigley Field is their summer home, so we wanted to create a space that feels like their own backyard,” said Cubs Senior Vice President of Ticketing Cale Vennum in a statement. “The Yard not only offers a cozy and intimate setting but also addresses feedback we’ve received about creating bleacher options for smaller groups. The historic Budweiser Bleachers have a unique energy unlike anything in Major League Baseball. The Yard sits in the middle of the action but provides an elevated gameday experience in an all-inclusive and reserved space for a few friends or family members.”
The Yard will offer fans an intimate experience where groups up to 50 can enjoy unlimited food and beverages as well as a complimentary meal. There will be high-top seating all around with some low tops for those needing more accessibility. Fans will be able to access The Yard an hour and a half before all Cubs home games and be able to stay till the final out of the game. Tickets will start at $175 for “bronze games” and further increase from there.
How will this benefit the Cubs?
Unveiling this new feature is perfect for the Cubs given how exciting this season is shaping out to be.
I can fully expect The Yard to be sold out for most if not all of the Cubs home games especially when it’s a nice summer night.
Fans always love to watch games in the comforts of their homes and backyards and for the Cubs to do everything they can to bring that experience to the ballpark is exceptional!
