Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant was set to miss his fourth-straight game with a shoulder injury on Tuesday night as the team continues its four-game series in Los Angeles against the Dodgers. Shortly after the lineup was released, the Cubs made a big decision on Bryant’s situation.
The team announced on Tuesday that they have placed Bryant on the `10-day DL, retroactive to June 23rd. Bryant has been dealing with shoulder inflammation and wasn’t available to play on Monday.

Manager Joe Maddon called the injury “day-to-day” before the series opener against the Dodgers. With Bryant going on the DL, the Cubs brought up David Bote from Triple-A Iowa to take his place.
