As if the Los Angeles Dodgers needed another small advantage in the NLCS.
After a long Game 5 in Washington, the Chicago Cubs boarded their plane on Friday to fly to Los Angeles and prepare for Game 1 of the NLCS against the Dodgers. But they will have to wait just a little longer to actually get to LA.
The Cubs team plane had to be diverted to Albuquerque, New Mexico after there was a medical emergency. The play landed early at 6:30 am according to Danny Parkins of the Spiegel and Parkins Show on 670 The Score:
So to recap: a family member of a player had a medical emergency. #Cubs landed in Albuquerque and are still on the plane. Landed 6:28 am CT.

They have been on the ground for more than 3 hours now.
The Cubs have yet to name a Game 1 starter to oppose Clayton Kershaw but Jose Quintana and John Lackey are the two names that have been mentioned. First pitch is set for 7:08 p.m. CT at Dodger Stadium.
