The Chicago Cubs will be moving to a new radio home. After a 90-year relationship with WGN-AM 720, the Cubs are set to move to WBBM-AM 780 as the Chicago Tribune reports.
According to sources, the team will officially announce the partnership at a press conference on Thursday. The Cubs have signed a long-term deal with WBBM-AM but terms were not disclosed at the moment. Pat Hughes and Ron Coomer will still be the broadcasters when the move happens next season.
The move comes just days after WGN America announced they will no longer show Chicago Cubs games nationally by 2015. Low ratings are believed to be known as the reason WGN did not match the CBS offer.
