The 2013 MLB draft concluded last Thursday and teams are in the process of signing their draft picks. The Cubs have signed numnerous draft picks since Thursday and will continue to sign their draft picks. Here are the players that are already signed with the Cubs official and players who’s deal will be made official soon:
2nd round pick LHP Rob Zastryzny – unofficial: Zastryzny tweeted that he will be signing with the Cubs, but the terms of the bonus were undisclosed. CCS writer Jacob Janower interviewed him and you can find it here, while I wrote an article on the Cubs selecting Zastryzny and you can find it here.
3rd round pick OF Jacob Hannermann – unofficial: He wants to play for the Cubs and it looks like he has. He doesn’t want to go back to college.
6th round pick RHP Scott Fraizer – unofficial: Fraizer has reportedly signed, but is pending a physical and that’s the last stop from the signing to become official. He will take the physical on Monday.
7th round pick RHP David Garner – unofficial: He’s ready to go pro and forgo his senior year.
9th round pick CF Charcer Burks – official: BA reports that the Cubs have signed Burks to a 170,000 signing bonus, 21,000 overslot.
11th round pick C Jordan Hankins – unofficial: According to a report, Hankins has signed with the Cubs and has gone pro.
12th round pick RHP Trevor Clifton – official: The Cubs have signed Clifton. I wrote an article of the Cubs signing him and you can find it here.
13th round pick RHP Trevor Graham – unofficial: The Cubs have reportedly signed him.
14th round pick RHP Daniel Poncedeleon – official: Poncedeleon posted a picture on his Twitter page of him signing with the Cubs.
15th round pick RHP Michael Wagner – unofficial: Wagner has reportedly signed his bonus with the Cubs.
16th round pick C Cal Brockmeyer – unofficial: He has reportedly reached an agreement with the Cubs.
17th round pick 1B Kelvin Freeman – unofficial: Freeman has not reached a deal with the Cubs yet, but has indicated that he wants to sign with the Cubs and not go back to college.
18th round pick SS Giuseppe Papaccio – official: Papaccio signed his contract with the Cubs soon after being drafted in the 18th round. He’s a SS, but Cubs asked him to move to catcher.
20th round pick 2B Zak Blair – official: Blair reportedly signed right after he was selected.
22nd round pick LF Kevin Brown – unofficial: He reportedly signed with the Cubs.
23rd round pick LHP Tyler Ihrig – official: Ihrig signed his contract with the Cubs on Tuesday and will join Mesa in the coming days.
27th round pick Tyler Sciacca – official: Sciacca has signed with the Cubs and will start his professional career very soon.
30th round pick RHP Zak Hermans – official: Hermans tweeted a picture of him signing with the Cubs and he’s already in Mesa.
Draft picks who may not sign or don’t know yet:
*19th round pick C Will Remilard said he’s not sure if he will sign with the Cubs.
*32nd round pick RHP Keaton Leach said he’s not sure if he will sign with the Cubs.
*39th round pick CF Joshua Greene said he will not sign with the Cubs and attend college.

Other roster news and notes:
*Cubs placed RP Zack Putnam on the 15-day DL with a bone spur in his throwing arm. The Cubs called up Brooks Raley and that didn’t last, he’s actually starting the game for Iowa today.
*The Cubs added Hendry Rodriguez to the 25-man roster and optioned Brooks Raley to Triple-A Iowa. He did not appear in one game while being on the Cubs active roster.
*The Cubs DFA RHP Eduardo Sanchez a few days ago in favor of Rodriguez, but he cleared waivers and was optioned to Triple-A Iowa.
*The Cubs suspended 3B Ian Stewart 10-games for Twitter comments about the Cubs oprganization he made earlier this week. Stewart is appealing the suspension.
