Chicago Cubs: The Outfield Rotation

So far this year, the Chicago Cubs haven’t used a set lineup in the outfield, they have moved guys around, hoping to find a perfect balance of defense and offense. Guys like Marlon Byrd, Kosuke Fukudome, and Alfonso Soriano are the guys that quite a few people believe should be the starters, but I have other ideas.

I believe that Byrd should start in center, and that Fukudome should start in right, simply because of his patient bat, but why should Soriano automatically get the starts in left? Honestly, he’s not that great of a defensive player, and his bat has been fairly silent this season minus the one home run he has hit. I think you should give the spot to Xavier Nady for a couple weeks and see how he fairs.

Nady has played extremely well for the Cubs this year, getting some clutch hits, and also playing great defense. We’re in the middle of the home opener today against the Brewers and he showed off his bat and nailed a three-run shot out of the park. Maybe Soriano and Nady should share the left field starts?

I decided to bring this up because sooner or later, the Cubs are going to have to pick a consistent outfield, they can’t keep switching players up, so which guys do you want to see start? Lots of people are also saying give the youngester Colvin a chance to start, but in my opinion he’s way to young and raw-talented to start, although he could spot start at times to give the regulars a rest.

I’ll leave you with this question, and I hope to get some comments hearing what  you guys think. Who should the Cubs starting outfielders be consistently this year?

Don’t call it a Comeback…

I’ve been a Cubs fan since 2000!!!It’s been a crazy 10 years. We’ve definitely seen the highs and lows of this team. I used to attend their games .Last time we got my Cubs Tickets through Ticketsinventory.com for $15 they have some type of deals. What can I say, my love for this team has only gotten stronger and everything that love is supposes to mean! I cannot wait for this upcoming season.
