Chicago Fire fans will be able to see their team play a lot on TV this year.
The club announced a broadcast deal with Comcast SportsNet Chicago that will put 21 Fire games from the 2015 season on TV. The channel will also revamp their Chicago Fire section on the website with more content.
“Over the past several seasons, we’ve seen significant ratings increases in our game broadcasts,” said Fire COO Atul Khosla. “Through destination programming and a comprehensive content development strategy, we will now be appropriately positioned among the biggest sports properties in the city on CSN Chicago and are poised for continued growth. Comcast will air the Fire’s season opener on Saturday, March 14 and will host a 30-minute pregame show for every match. The stations SportsNet Central will also amp up its coverage of the MLS team.
Dan Kelly will return for his sixth season as the Fire play-by-play and joining him in the booth will be analyst Kevin Egan who is in his third year.
