The Chicago Fire will debut their new third kit during the October 5th match against the Montreal Impact at Toyota Park, the team announced today via press release.
The match is part of the Fire’s anniversary party that will celebrate the team’s 17 years in the MLS and will include a fan appreciation night. The team’s official anniversary is October 8.
The Fire held a contest in October of 2013, partnered with Quaker, to give fans the chance to design a new Fire kit that the team will wear. After voting, the fans decided on Freddy Christiano’s “Heart On Your Sleeve” design that feature a sleek black and light blue design. The light blue is to represent the color on the city of Chicago’s flag.
