The Staggs will begin play in the new A11 Football League in March of 2015. Other teams in the league include the Bay Area Sea Lions, Dallas Wranglers, Los Angeles Express, New Jersey Generals and Tampa Bay Bandits, with two more to be announced. The team name pays homage to Amos Alonzo Stagg, former baseball, basketball and football coach of the University of Chicago, and a member of both the college football and basketball halls of fame. The team is reportedly finalizing negotiations to play at Soldier Field, home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears.
