The White Sox take their 4-2 record to Washington for a three game set against the World Series hopeful Nationals. The Nationals are also sitting at a 4-2 record, which is good for a second place tie in the National League East division. The Nats are coming off of series sweep of the Marlins and a series loss to the Reds, and the White Sox will be their first American League opponent of the season.
The Sox are coming off of division wins against the Royals and the Mariners and this Nationals team will be their first true test, considering the Nationals are one of the best teams in the National League. A interesting tidbit is that Robin Ventura will look to keep Adam Dunn’s bat in the lineup against the Nationals, thus he will be starting the Big Donkey in left field during the series.
