The Chicago White Sox have slowly gotten back most of their injured players after getting dealt a bad hand during the spring, which cost them most of their pitching depth.
The White Sox can’t afford to lose any more of their players, as they’re in a tough stretch, losing four of their last five ball games, and need all the wins they can get to not get near their record from last season.
The White Sox will be getting some reinforcements to help give their offense some life and give Andrew Benintendi some help, as he’s the only run producer.

The White Sox will be getting some needed reinforcements to their lineup to help relieve Benintendi from barring the load of driving in the runs to help win ball games.
According to the White Sox Twitter account, outfielder Mike Tauchman has finished his rehab assignment and will rejoin the Sox for the series finale against the Detroit Tigers.
In a corresponding move to make room on the roster, the White Sox have designated outfielder Travis Jankowski for assignment.
“Prior to today’s series finale at Detroit, the Chicago White Sox returned outfielder Mike Tauchman from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Class AAA Charlotte and reinstated him from the 10-day injured list.
To make room for Tauchman on the active roster, the White Sox designated outfielder Travis Jankowski for assignment.”

Jankowski had not made the most of his opportunities with the White Sox, hitting .214/.267/.214 for an OPS and OPS+ of .481 and 39 in seven games.
Jankowski was signed to a minor league deal by the White Sox after he was released by the Chicago Cubs, and he served as the team’s fourth outfielder while Tauchman was hurt and Benintendi recovered from his broken hand.
How Tauchman will be used now that he’s back

Now that he’s back, Tauchman will serve as the team’s primary rightfielder.
Tauchman is in the White Sox lineup today for the finale against the Tigers batting leadoff and playing rightfield.

Tauchman saw a lot of time in the leadoff spot during spring training, and now that he’s back, he should have a lot of time there during the season.
