The Chicago White Sox have been a little busy Friday afternoon, making a flurry of moves to add more depth to the roster.
The White Sox added left-hander Brandon Eisert to add more depth to the roster and designated right-handed Steven Wilson for assignment.
The White Sox made two other moves, adding even more positional depth, with one of the signings possibly coming with a ton of upside.
The Chicago White Sox sign two infielders

The White Sox announced Friday afternoon, that they signed infielders Brandon Drury and Tristan Gray to minor-league deals.
“The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms with INFs Brandon Drury and Tristan Gray on minor-league contracts which include non-roster invites to Spring Training.”
The Chicago White Sox have claimed left-handed pitcher Brandon Eisert off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays.
To make room for Eisert on the 40-man roster, the White Sox designated right-hander Steven Wilson for assignment.

These two signings add more depth to the White Sox infield. The ChiSox currently have openings at third base, second base, and shortstop, with a handful of players competing for the starting jobs.
Signing Drury could be huge for the White Sox

The 32-year-old Drury did not have a very productive season with the Los Angeles Angels last season. In 97 games for the Halos, Drury played in 97 games, was a -2.0 WAR player, and hit .169/.242/.228 for an OPS and OPS+ of .469 and 35.
The Organ native has shown at points in his career to be a very productive major leaguer and could be a force in the lineup when things click, having won a Silver Slugger in 2022. Drury will only be two years removed from when he played 125 games and hit .262/.306/.497 for an OPS and OPS+ of .803 and 114.
The versatile Drury can play both second and third base and, can be relied on to play the corner outfield spots. Drury also gives the White Sox another option at first base, having played 109 games there for his career.
Drury has an invite to spring training, where if he can show he can be like the player he was back in ‘22 and ‘23, then he should have an easy chance to make the 26-man roster. Drury could prove to be a valuable trade piece for the White Sox if he can bounce back.
The career minor leaguer

Gray has spent most of his career in the minor leagues, having played seven seasons there for five organizations. The 28-year-old doesn’t bring much with the bat but brings versatility, being able to play all three infield spots minus first base.
Gray does come to the White Sox, having appeared in 15 career games for both the now formerly Oakland A’s and Miami Marlins. Gray was not impressive offensively, going 3-28 (.107 average) and striking out 16 times. Gray will have his work cut out for given so many White Sox prospects outrank him on the depth chart, but Gray will be a great depth option.
Another shrewd move by Chris Getz

Chris Getz made two more shrewd moves with these signings, with Drury possibly paying off more than Gray.
Getz has done a stellar job of sticking to the plan and trusting that the players he currently has in his organization will hit.
Spring training is shaping out to be an exciting one. These three additions the White Sox made, certainly add to that excitement.
