The Chicago White Sox have added another former Cub to their roster as the team announces the signing of utility man Emilio Bonifacio.
Bonifacio got off to a hot start for the Chicago Cubs last season before being traded away to the Atlanta Braves at the deadline. The contract is a one-year deal worth $3 million and a club option for the second year. The Sox can offer him a $1 million buyout or $4 million for the club option in 2016.
The speedy Bonifacio will turn 30 this year and has double-digit steals in every season since 2009.
