With the MLB Trade Deadline just a day away, Chicago White Sox General Manager Rick Hahn made another move.
The White Sox have traded outfielder Melky Cabrera to AL Central rival Kansas City in exchanges for two pitchers. It’s just the latest move for Hahn who is focused on completely rebuilding the White Sox and stocking the farm system.
The #WhiteSox have acquired RHP A.J. Puckett & LHP Andre Davis from the Royals in exchange for Melky Cabrera & cash considerations.

The 22-year-old Puckett is the No. 13 ranked prospect in the Royals farm system and joins a now loaded White Sox farm system which is the best in baseball.
At 32-years-old, Cabrera is hitting .295/.336./.436 with 13 home runs and 56 RBI on his 2017 season. He’s currently in the last year of his three-year deal.
The White Sox will also send cash considerations to Kansas City as part of the deal.
