The Chicago White Sox have announced that starting pitcher Chris Sale will miss three weeks with a fracture in his right foot.
Release coming soon on Chris Sale, who apparently has suffered a foot injury. Should have more soon. #WhiteSox

The ace pitcher suffered the accident in his home, but declined to provide the full cause of the accident. White Sox GM Rick Hahn only said that Sale suffered the injury landing wrong on his truck. Sale’s status for Opening Day is in question now as the club will base the decision when the swelling goes down.
Sale’s return to the club is expected around March 21 which would give him only 16 days to prepare for the Kansas City Royals. The pitcher was 12-4 last season with a 2.17 ERA and a third place finish in the American League Cy Young voting.
