Make that eight straight losses for the Chicago White Sox after the Texas Rangers scored two runs in the ninth on Friday against closer David Robertson. With a losing streak in tact and the team reeling, tensions are starting to mount.
Some fans are calling for Robin Ventura’s job, while others are throwing out trade rumors since the White Sox will likely be sellers at this year’s deadline. But after Friday’s frustrating loss to the Rangers, White Sox ace Chris Sale targeted a reporter who asked a question about the offense.
The reporter asked if Sale felt as if he had to throw a shutout every time he pitched to win games, which was a nod to the White Sox poor offensive performance as of late. Sale wasn’t happy and fired back as he backed up his teammates:

Sale threw 8 innings tonight allowing just two hits and no earned runs. He has a 2.74 ERA this season and his been a lone bright spot for the South Siders.
