Overall College Football Record: 12-4
Another fortunate week with games that went our way! I’m preparing myself for an off week, but let’s see if we can keep the positive streak alive. A solid 4-1 week last week to make it seem like we know what we’re talking about, right? Well, clearly we do.
Illinois vs. Rutgers
Best Bet: Illinois (-4.5)
The Illini are an interesting team this year. They kept it close until halftime with Penn State but really took a crap in the second half and ended up losing by 40. However, they got the Scarlet Knights from Jersey this week who are the forgotten school in the B1G. I bet you looked up if they were even in the B1G after reading that. I feel pretty good about Illinois’ chances this week, they’re on the up and up.
Northern Illinois vs. Ball State
Best Bet: Under 53
The Huskies look like a solid MACtion football team. They fought until the end with the Seminoles (which isn’t hard to do this year) which is a win in itself for such a small program. Not really much to say this year on Ball State. I would maybe take the Huskies -2.5 line for this one as well.
South Florida vs. Mass
Best Bet: USF (-15.5)
The Bulls are undefeated and look like a good team this year. I don’t really know anything about UMass as a team this year so I feel very confident that the Bulls will get it done.
LSU vs. Florida
Best Bet: LSU (-2.5)
The Gators are such a hit and miss team this year. Having ties to Florida colleges other than UF, I was born to hate them, and still do to this day. I might be a little biased, but you better believe that you’ll be hearing Coach O on the sideline yelling “GEAUX Tigers!” this Saturday.
Lock of the Week
Syracuse vs. Pitt
Best Bet: Syracuse (-3.5)
The Orange got it done for me last week in Death Valley against a strong Clemson team so I see no reason they can’t win by more than 3.5 points this week in Pittsburgh. This is the best I’ve seen Syracuse play and they definitely have something to prove to the ACC. Syracuse rolls.
