Sorry for the lack of these lately, luckily things are slow again, and I’ll have one of these each morning as the minor league season winds down.
Iowa Cubs (AAA)- Beat Nashville 3-2
Jay Jackson got the start, and pitched five strong innings. He struck out six, and allowed just two runs on six hits and a walk.
Jeff Gray pitched the eighth, and allowed no runs on one hit.
Jeff Stevens got the save, getting one strikeout and allowing one hit over his scoreless inning
Brian LaHair (LF) went 2-2 with a double, walk, and RBI
Tennessee Smokies (AA)- Beat Mississippi 11-2
Rafael Dolis rebounded from a bad start last week, allowing one run over five innings. He struck out five, walked three, and allowed four hits.
Esmailian Caridad sighting! He pitched one inning, allowed one run on two hits, and added a walk and a strikeout.
Brett Jackson played right field and went 2-4.
Steve Clevenger (C) had a monster game. He went 3-3 with a homer, a double, a walk, and 4 RBI.
Daytona Cubs (High-A)- Game Suspended
Peoria Chiefs (Low-A)- Lost to Clinton 4-2
Hak-Ju Lee (SS) went 2-5 with two doubles and a run scored.
Jae-Hoon Ha (RF) went 2-3 with a walk (Yes, he took a walk).
Boise Hawks (Rookie)- Lost to Vancouver 4-3
AZL Cubs (Rookie)- Beat AZL Giants 7-5
