Chicago — Derrek Lee returned to form at Wrigley Field Wednesday night with two hits, including a home run and some good defense to help Ryan Dempster get back in the win column and improve to 5-5 on the season. Starlin Castro and Alfonso Soriano each drove in two and Soriano even added his first sacrifice bunt in almost 4 years.
Conor Jackson made his first start in an Athletics uniform since his trade yesterday from Arizona and added two hits and a losing effort. Gio Gonzalez suffered the loss for Oakland and dropped to 6-5. Kevin Kouzmanoff’s 15 game hitting streak came to an end as well.
