Cubs catcher David Ross hits his 100th career home run on Friday
In his final season in the major leagues, Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross has achieved a career milestone.
During Friday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies, Ross cracked a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. The home run not only gave the Cubs a 5-1 lead but it was the 100th of his career:

It’s just the latest in Ross’ solid final year in the big leagues as he’s hitting .254 with 4 home runs and 17 RBI on the year. The Cubs will almost certainly have a celebration of some sort for the 39-year-old catcher.
