The IceHogs and the Manitoba Moose met up for the 2nd time in 3 days last night in Rockford. The game was filled with hard hits and flaring tempers. At one point during the 2nd frame, Rockford’s penalty box was overflowing with players and a possible error in time calculations delayed the game, while on & off ice officials tried to clear up the confusion. The IceHogs seemed to fire everything they had at Eric Comrie, netminder for the Moose, during the 3rd period. But, when the final buzzer sounded Rockford fell short, losing 2-3. Comrie was awarded the 1st Star of the Game, stopping 37 of the 39 shots. Rockford’s goaltender, Mac Carruth, stopped 22 of the 24 pucks Manitoba sent his way.
IceHogs News Update: The IceHogs had multiple roster moves since February 12th.
