Former Chicago Bulls shooting guard Dwyane Wade gave his honest opinion on the greatest of all time (GOAT) of the Bulls—and it’s not Michael Jordan.
When talking about the GOAT in basketball, the argument has been pretty consistent. One may say it’s Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, while others may say it’s Lakers star LeBron James, while some would say it could be the late Kobe Bryant. However, for Dwyane Wade, the Illinois team has its own GOAT.
Dwyane Wade took to Instagram and shared a post showing Derrick Rose catering to fans and customers in his limited-run flower shop. In the caption, he said:
“In Chicago, we have our very own goats, and [Derrick Rose], to me, is the GOAT of our city!”

In a special video titled “Memory Lane,” released by the Chicago Bulls, that celebrated the career of Derrick Rose, one of the highlights he and former teammate Joakim Noah touched on was the year he got drafted as the first pick—the 2008 NBA Draft.
Rose recalled the personal impact of that draft year to him and his family, as him getting picked by the Bulls proved to be a monumental moment for the future of his family.
“During this time, my family was **** up, bro,” he opened up to Noah. “[The] recession was this year or the year before.”
Rose reflected on what could have happened to his family back then had he not been drafted for the NBA that year.
“And,I don’t know if my mom. I don’t know if the family would have been able to get through, like, unscathed, you know what I’m saying? So this was like, this was huge. Paramount to, like, my life. I don’t know how the Rose family would have been.”
Dwayne Wade Wants to See More Bronny From Lakers
Dwayne Wade recently gave his take on the status of the Lakers, particularly this season. While he criticized the quality of the roster, he gave a suggestion on how the team might elevate their caliber.
“As a fan of the game, I’m not looking at the Lakers saying, ‘They’re gonna win a championship,’” he said. “We want to see Bronny. This is not a championship team, it’s not a championship roster at this point. Now the Lakers are always in [a] place to make a move ’cause it’s the Lakers.”
