Ayo Dosunmu
Stats through the first 15 games: 11.1 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, 3.1 assists per game
Chicago’s young guard has been a hit-or-miss to start off the season. Some nights he is putting up 12 points, 2 blocks, and 4 rebounds, but then there are nights where he is a non-factor. His shooting is among the team’s best at 49% and his defense continues to progress behind his collection of steals and blocks.
We see Dosunmu’s playmaking skills at times for the Bulls, but for the most part, he is getting rid of the ball quickly once he crosses halfcourt in order to start up the Bulls’ iso-centric style of play. Just like Patrick Williams, Dosunmu’s presence on the floor fades on offense with the bulk of the Chicago offense coming from isolation plays. Regardless, the 22-year-old is fourth on the team in shots attempted (9.3) per game and we can only hope his offense continues to improve in this long season.
