After missing some time at the start of the season, Chicago White Sox prospect Eloy Jimenez is ready to play.
The White Sox organization announced on Wednesday afternoon that their top prospect will report to Double-A Birmingham to play for the Barons beginning Thursday. Jimenez has been sidelined after suffering a mild strain of his left pectoral muscle in March.

Jimenez has been going through an extended Spring Training as he rehabbed from his injury. It gave him a chance to get into the flow of things before being assigned to a minor league team.
If all goes well in Birmingham, we will likely see Jimenez in Charlotte sometime this Summer. He’s a candidate to be called up come late season for the White Sox, joining former top prospect Yoan Moncada.
