Yesterday it was Alshon Jeffery’s turn to appear on the ESPN offensive player rankings list. Now today, another Bears player appeared on the list.
ESPN ranked Matt Forte number 29 on the list of offensive players, up from his number 48 ranking last season. Forte had another solid season for the Bears rushing 1,339 yards and 9 total touchdowns in 16 games. Forte has been versatile ever since the Bears drafted him in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
Not only can Forte run the ball but he’s proved to be dangerous in the passing game for a explosive Bears offensive attack. He finished third in total yards from scrimmage with 1,339. His role in the Bears offense is very important and he could be in for a big year in 2014.
Earlier in the off-season, Forte was upset that the NFL Network had him ranked 91 in their top 100 player rankings.
