The NFL’s best team just got a little better. Alex Brown signed a two-year, six million dollar deal with the Saints on Wednesday.
Brown, who was released by the Bears last week because of financial reasons, will be a starter on the Saints defensive line. “I just want to win, and the Saints win” said Brown Wednesday.
Brown had six sacks last season, but was truly a serviceable player who kept excitement in the locker room.
The move adds depth to a very good Saints defense, who surprised a lot of teams last year.
For the Bears, the move thins their defensive line. We can only imagine how good Brown could have been with Peppers on that line.
