The Chicago White Sox could not pull off the sweep of the Boston Sox as they dropped the series finale, losing 3-1.
Thankfully, the White Sox captured the series with an 11-1 win in game one and a walk-off win in game two, with Brooks Baldwin being the hero.
The series finale saw Red Sox Ace Garret Crochet return to Chicago for his first start since getting traded, and he was nothing short of amazing.
Crochet returns to face off against the Chicago White Sox

The White Sox made it a point this off-season to trade away the best player they had in Crochet to jump-start their rebuild.
The White Sox traded Crochet to the Red Sox over the off-season for a package of prospects, with one, Chase Meidroth, already debuting.
The now-former White Sox returned to Chicago, where he dominated and showed why he is worth every penny of the $170 million contract he signed.
In his first start back in Chicago since being traded, Crochet was nothing short of dominant, carrying a no-hitter into the seventh inning and having his best strikeout stuff. Crochet had eleven over his 7.1 innings of work.
The White Sox thankfully broke up the no-hitter with their rookie Chase Meidroth getting a base hit off of Crochet in the bottom of the seventh.
That hit marked the end of Crochet’s afternoon, with MLB.com Scott Merkin reporting that when manager Alex Cora made the call to the bullpen, Crochet left the mound to a standing ovation.
“Meidroth breaks up the no-hitter with one out in the eighth. And Crochet exits to a standing ovation.”

Looking like a Cy Young contender

Crochet has looked great since joining the Red Sox, as he could be in the running or even win the American League Cy Young Award.
To begin the year Crochet after this outing will move to 2-1 and saw his ERA drop from 1.45 to 1.38.
Now that Crochet is locked into a contract and is in a place he is happy to be, he has settled in and looks to be unlocking his full potential, which could spell a nightmare for the rest of the league.
