Miami Heat star and Chicago native Dwyane Wade is getting set to play in his final NBA regular season game before he retires at the end of this season.
Wade’s retirement tour has made the rounds throughout the NBA as he has exchanged jerseys with players from around the league at the end of many games. But with his career getting set to end, Gatorade wanted to make sure they were sending him out the right way.
On Tuesday, Gatorade released a special tribute promo with the theme of “Three is the Magic Number,” honoring Wade who wore Number 3 throughout his career.
John Legend remakes the classic tune from School House Rock’s, “Three is a Magic Number” for the new ad. Check it out below:
In addition to the special tribute, Gatorade has created limited towels and squeeze bottles with Wade’s “3” entwined with the iconic Gatorade bolt which will be featured on the sidelines of Tuesday’s game.
