Not too long after Chicago Bears’ new offensive coordinator, Mike Martz, entered Halas Hall, arguments have already arisen.
Now, I’ve never been the one to blast Lovie Smith, unlike most. In my eyes, he is a decent head coach. Additionally, the fact he has to win this year in order to keep his job does nothing but spice things up. But I’m calling him out in this article.
Lovie, please, be quiet and do your job. We don’t need you to work overtime.
From my source on Twitter, Mike Martz supports Devin Aromashodu as our number one receiver, Johnny Knox as our second, and Devin Hester in the slot.
As I’m sure many of you know, Lovie has spoken to the media regarding this. He says that Hester is still the primary receiver, basically pushing Martz’s opinion out the door. Martz, not too long ago, stated that Hester would be “stupid good,” at the slot position.
This brings me to a second opinion. I’m fine with Hester being the go-to guy. I’ve never had a problem with that. My problem is, if you drive an offensive genius out of your ball club…you’re no longer a decent head coach in my eyes.
Let Martz do what you pay him for. Lovie, your opinion is obviously not needed here. You’ve never been an offensive coach. Focus on the upcoming draft and what you need to do in order to win next year, TO KEEP YOUR JOB, instead of basically blowing off what any of your staff has to say.
If this becomes a trend between Lovie and Martz throughout the offseason and 2010, I guarantee you, fellow Bears fans, someone will be cut…and I don’t think it’s Martz.
More articles on the way. Thanks!

Agreed with Martz on this one.
I agree with Martz too. But if there really was a “feud” at Halas Hall I’m sure it would’ve been broadcast all over the media and your twitter source would have broken it to everyone.
