Gar Forman has stated over and over again that resigning Omer Asik was a top priority. However. after the Houston Rockets verbally offered Omer $24.3 million over three seasons, it doesn’t seem likely that the Bulls will match that offer.
Free agents can’t sign until July 11th, and after that, the Bulls will have three days to match Houston’s offer.
Gar Forman, however, has mentioned that the Bulls will be making “basketball choices” and not “financial choices”.
In the 2011-2012 season, Omer’s defense shined with 5.3 rebounds in 14 minutes per game, while his offense struggled, averaging 3 points.
