The IceHogs returned to home ice last night in Rockford, after being on the road for the last 2 weeks. They won 4 out of 5 games while on the road. Rockford’s Tanner Kero received his AHL Player of the Week Award from GM of Minor League Affiliations, Mark Bernard before the game. Kero had been named AHL Player of the Week back in October, but had been on recall to the Chicago Blackhawks until December 6th.
After last night’s win over the Wild, the IceHogs are currently in 1st Place in the Western Division of the AHL.
Next home game is Saturday, December 12, 2015 @ 7pm at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
*This posting is Dedicated to a good friend who gained her Pink Wings, when she lost her 8 year battle with Breast Cancer on December 3rd. She never gave up. Kristina Long was a huge Chicago Blackhawks & Rockford IceHogs fan. She made such a impact into so many lives. Always laughing. Always smiling. Never complaining. She will be truly missed by many. Yes, I chose to go to the IceHogs’ game last night in place of attending her Memorial Service. I met her through Hockey, so I chose to honor with Hockey.
