Jake Hildebrand(G) made his AHL debut last night, replacing starter Mac Carruth(G) in net at the top of the 2nd frame. Carl Heeter(G), made his Griffins debut in net last night, making 33 saves. Top 3 Stars of the Game were #1 Matt Lorito & #2 Carl Heeter of the Griffins and Rockford’s Evan Mosey was named the #3 Star.
Last night was also the IceHogs’ annual Teddy Bear Toss event and the fans came thru, donating a total of 3491 stuffed animals. Fans tossed the cuddly creatures onto the ice early in the first period, when the IceHogs scored their first & only goal of the game, by Cameron Schilling(D).
Roster moves announced today…the Chicago Blackhawks have recalled Lars Johansson(G) and have assigned Nick Schmaltz(F) to the IceHogs.
