The Rockford IceHogs hosted the Chicago Wolves today for a early afternoon game. The crowd of 3633 was made up of mostly kids, off from school today for Martin Luther King Day. Rockford’s lone goal was scored by Pierre-Cedric Labrie, shorthanded and unassisted during the first minute of the 2nd period. Labrie was given the 3rd Star of the Game for his efforts. IceHogs lose 4-1.
The next home game for the IceHogs is this Saturday, January 24th @ 7pm. It’s Pink in the Rink Night, for Breast Cancer awareness. The team will be wearing special jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game. Proceeds will go to both Swedish American Foundation and the Mary Kay Foundation.
