Since suffering back-to-back losses to the Checkers last weekend in Charlotte, the IceHogs were looking for a Win on home ice last night in Rockford. They got that and more. In net for the IceHogs last night was Drew MacIntyre who, was up until his trade 2 weeks ago, was a member of the Checkers team. MacIntyre was able to stop all 30 shots on goal sent his way by his former teammates, earning his first Shutout as a IceHogs player, 1-0.
Mark McNeill scored the only IceHogs’ goal of the game midway in the 3rd frame. That was goal #20 for McNeill this season so far. Stars of the Game last night were – #1 Drew MacIntyre, #2 Mark McNeill and #3 Daniel Altshuller(G-CHA).
Next home games are this coming weekend, Saturday March 19th at 7pm and Sunday March 20th at 4pm.
