Friday night’s game in Rockford between the IceHogs and the Chicago Wolves was filled with fast paced, non-stop action. A grand total of 98 penalty minutes were handed out between the two teams. Fight Cards were needed to keep track of the five fights and numerous scrums that occurred throughout the game. The Rivalry is alive & kicking.
Michael Leighton(RFD) made AHL history last night, earning his 45th career AHL Shutout and tied the current AHL record set by Hall of Fame goaltender Johnny Bower.
Rockford’s goals were scored by Vinnie Hinostroza(2), Marko Dano, Cameron Schilling, Kirill Gotovets and Tanner Kero. Stars of the Game – #1 Michael Leighton, #2 Vinnie Hinostroza, and #3 Ryan Hartman.
The IceHogs ‘ next home game is Friday February 5th.
