A tree has fallen on Vic Koenning’s house during this past week due to severe storms that affected much of Central Illinois, according to John Supinie, a sports writer for GateHouse News Service, Springfield State Journal-Register, Peoria Journal Star and Rockford Register Star.
Luckily, no injuries occurred during the incident.
Supinie reported on his Twitter less than an hour ago: “Illini defensive coordinator Vic Koenning thankful no one hurt after tree falls on his house during storm this week.”
Koenning and the Illini are currently in their last week of spring practices. The annual Orange and Blue Spring Scrimmage will be held tomorrow.
Storms are once again passing through Champaign today. There is a 100% chance of t-storms today, 80% chance of t-storms tonight, and storm chances continue all the way through Wednesday. At this point, the chance of a severe storm is low.
