The White Sox struggles have continued. On Saturday they led until Asdrubal Cabrera hit a homerun in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game at two.
They would then fall behind.
Reliever Matt Thorton gave up the lead when Shin-Soo Choo hit a double to score Grady Sizemore, and give the Indians a 3-2 lead. The lead would stand, as Chris Perez shut down the Sox in the ninth for the save.
Peavy pitched well early, until the Cabrera homer.
When asked if it was time to panic, manager Ozzie Guillen “I’m going to sleep like a baby,” Guillen said. “I’m going to wake up every two hours and cry”. Ozzie knows it’s too early to panic, but if the struggles continue, it could be a long year for the Sox.
