Joining me today is Illini Freshman Shooting Guard, Crandall Head.
PH: How much did your older brother Luther Head affect your decision to go there?
CH: My brother didn’t have much to do with me coming here.
PH: What number are you going to wear?
CH: I’m going to wear number 4 like my brother.
PH: Have you had a chance to play with your new teammates yet?
CH: Yeah, we have been playing in open gym everyday.
PH: You were injured most of last year, will you red shirt this season?
CH: I dont plan on red shirting this year, I just got to come back better and stronger.
PH: What is your biggest strength as a player?
CH: My biggest strength as a player is my ability to get to the rim and score.
PH: Biggest weakness?
CH: I wouldn’t call it my weakness but the thing I need to work on the most is my 3 point shooting.
PH: How can you help the Illini next year?
CH: I can help the team in many ways with my defense, my offensive abilities and my toughness.
PH: How much potential does this team have?
CH: Very high potential and could be really good.
PH: Who was the best player you played against in High School?
CH: The best player I would have to say was the whole Whitney Young team.
PH: Can you out do your brother and bring the Illini a National Championship?
CH: I’m going to try my best.
PH: Prediction for next year?
CH: Just have to wait and see
