Are you looking for an extra bat or an extra arm for your fantasy baseball team and you aren’t willing to make a trade? There are some good options waiting for you down in the waiver wire.
You can find the players you need off waivers to give your team the edge it needs to compete for a championship without having to trade anyone from your team. Here are a few players that are probably available in your league’s waiver wire.
To find more diamonds in the waiver wire rough and to help you optimize your MLB lineup, you can use the MLB tools hub at Fantasy Alarm.
If you are in need of a pitcher, one pitcher that should be under consideration is San Diego Padre Luis Perdomo.
After a rough start, Perdomo has a 4-5 record and a respectable K-per-9 ratio of 7.2.
Perdomo has also allowed three runs or less in five of his last seven starts. Perdomo is available in 85% of CBSSports.com leagues and is being used as a starter in just 6% of their MLB lineups.
Another pitcher that can help your team is Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Urena. Urena has been very impressive with an 8-4 record and has only had one bad start in his last seven.
Perdomo is owned in only half of the CBSSports.com leagues and is starting in just a fourth of their mlb lineups, so get him on your roster right now if he is still floating around in your league’s waiver wire.
If you need hitting help, Seattle Mariners RF Ben Gamel is a good option. Although Gamel has cooled off considerably after hitting a white hot .393 for the month of June, Gamel is still 3rd in the American League in batting (.323) and Mariners may give him some playing time at first base when Danny Valencia needs to rest.
If you have room in your lineup, pluck him off the waiver wire. He’s owned in just 26 percent of the CBSSports.com leagues and is being used as a starter in just 18% of their MLB lineups.
