It has been a bumpy ride thus far to say the least for Sox ace Jake Peavy. The Tribe jumped all over Peavy in the 3rd inning. Donald homered to make it 1-0. Choo homered to make it 2-0 and Branyan hit a single to cap off the 3 run inning for the tribe. The Indians would have another 3 running this time in the 6th. Peralta had an RBI double and Marson and Valbuena each had sac flies to make it 6-0 tribe.
The Palehose tried to make it close in the 7th when Andruw Jones doubled deep to score Ramirez and Mark Kotsay also doubled to score Jones but the fun would end there. The Sox would get another one in the 8th with the Alexei Ramirez RBI double. However, Valbuena made it a 7-3 game on his RBI single, and that’s how the game would end. Indians 7 White Sox 3.
Jake Peavy was bad tonight as he went 6 innings giving up 6 runs on 8 hits. Jake is now 3-4 on the season. Scott Linebrink pitched 2 innings of relief giving up 2 hits and a run.
On the other side Talbot was awesome as he gave up only 2 runs on 6 hits. The other run given up by the Indians was the struggling Chris Perez, Kerry Wood locked it down in the 9th.
The Sox look to win the series tomorrow night at the Jake in Cleveland.
