Jason Heyward reaches a milestone in the Cubs victory over the Phillies
It’s been a slow start to the season for Chicago Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward.
The 26-year-old decided to sign with the Cubs in the offseason, turning down offers from the St.Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Washington Nationals. But after Heyward slumped to start the season, he may have taken a turn in the right direction.
Heyward is starting to square the ball up more and while they haven’t all been base hits, he’s been making some loud outs. During the Cubs 6-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies Heyward hit his 100th career home run:

It was Heyward’s third home run as a member of the Cubs as he’s hitting .223 with 21 RBI’s this season.
