Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson has played the Green Bay Packers 11 times in his career.
The Packers have won 11 of those games.
The Chicago Bers could end two losing streaks on Sunday
Johnson and every draft pick on Chicago since the 2020 season has yet to beat their arch-rival. Green Bay got the best of the Bears in a 20-19 game on Nov. 17 at Soldier Field. The Packers escaped Chicago with a win via a blocked field goal attempt at the end of the game.
At 4-12, the Bears don’t have a postseason to play for, but they do have pride. Chicago’s locker room would like to end their 10-game in-season losing streak in Week 18. And snap their 11-game losing streak to Green Bay.
Jaylon Johnson wants to end on a high note
Per Mark Grote with 670 The Score, Johnson was asked about his “mind set” before playing the Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Johnson said he hopes to end the season on a high note.
“Expletive ‘em. That’s how I’m feeling. I’m going to try to go out with a bang,” Johnson said.
Those are strong comments from Johnson, who has been more stoic this year. He said during the preseason that he didn’t want to boast about the team’s strengths before the season but wanted to show it on the field. During the Bears collapse this season, Johnson sounded exasperated about the team’s losing ways.
“I’ve been in slumps four, five years in a row now,” Johnson said Monday. “So, I mean at the end of the day, I don’t look for, ‘OK, what is going to be better in the future?’ … It will be better when it’s better. So, right now, it’s not better. That’s all I can go off of.”
Maybe it’ll be better with a win on Sunday.
