The Chicago Bulls are fresh off a nice win over the Phoenix Suns on the road to grab a tie of first place in the Eastern Conference as they kicked off their annual circus road trip. That road trip includes a stop in California to take on the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors are off to a hot start at 12-0 and could still be undefeated depending on their game against the Los Angeles Clippers Thursday. Helping lead that charge is the defending NBA MVP Steph Curry who is just on fire this season averaging 33.7 points and 6.9 assists per game.
But when the two teams meet on Friday, at least one member of the Bulls is up for the challenge.
After his 31 point effort against the Suns, Jimmy Butler says he wants the chance to guard the defending MVP and will ask head coach Fred Hoiberg for that opportunity.
Butler: "I look forward to guarding everybody in this league, especially a prime time scorer like (Curry). I’ll ask coach for that matchup."

Oh, it’s going to be fun watching that matchup on Friday.
