Jimmy Butler will miss at least 2-4 weeks with a sprained left thumb according to head coach Tom Thibodeau.
The Chicago Tribune’s KC Johnson first reported the story via Twitter Wednesday afternoon ahead of the Bulls 2014-15 season opener in New York tonight. Butler’s thumb was getting better since he injured it in the preseason according to reports, but its severe enough to keep him out for an extended period of time.
With Butler out, it could open up more minutes for rookie Doug McDermott. The Bulls open up the season tonight in New York.
Thibodeau said Butler is out 2-4 weeks. Wow.
