UPDATE: Cutler will start vs. Vikings on Sunday.
Jay Cutler could return to the Chicago Bears starting lineup sooner than expected.
The Chicago Bears announced that Jimmy Clausen suffered a concussion during the fourth quarter of the Bears loss to the Lions on Sunday. The concussion came on the play where Clausen was hit in the head by Ziggy Ansah, which was penalized for unnecessary roughness.
The Bears are calling it “delayed symptoms” of a concussion after Clausen remained in the game for the final drive. He has been ruled OUT for Sunday’s game in Minnesota.
Cutler will likely get the start on Sunday, although rookie David Fales is the other option.
