The 2013 All-Star reserves were announced Thursday January 24 before the Knicks visited the Celtics on TNT. Seven players from each the Eastern and Western Conferences were named as reserves, along with the existing five starters from each conference, for a grand total of twelve All-Stars per conference.
The Chicago Bulls will be well represented at 2013 All-Star weekend, being one of eight teams in the NBA with two or more All-Stars. Joakim Noah was named to his first ever All-Star Game after arguably being the best center in the Eastern Conference over the past half a season. Luol Deng was also named to the All-Star Game by the coaches, his second straight appearance.
With Joakim Noah being named an All-Star, he is now the fifth player with All-Star experience on the current Chicago Bulls, joining Luol Deng, Richard Hamilton, Carlos Boozer and Derrick Rose. What that means is that Chicago is the only team in the NBA with a healthy starting lineup made of five players with All-Star experience.
