Last week Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy gave the Chicago Bears some bulletin board material when he said they are going to kick Chicago’s ass during a luncheon. The statement was a little unlike McCarthy who usually won’t provide quotes like that.

But now Chicago Bears head coach John Fox finally addressed the media regarding McCarthy’s comments. Fox spoke to the media on Monday and was asked about McCarthy’s comments. The veteran coach took the high road.
“I looked at the tape,” Fox told reporters. “They should be confident.”
McCarthy also added some more comments to the rivalry when he told reporters on Sunday what the Packers plans were:
"We're not going down there to play hopscotch." – McCarthy about #Bears game. #Packers

While Fox respects the Packers, McCarthy’s comments are likely going to be posted somewhere in Chicago’s locker room. The two teams will meet Sunday to open up the NFL regular season at noon in Soldier Field.
